Marlene Dumas & Marijke van Warmerdam

This first cooperation of the two artists results in a very personal publication about time and movement. From a monastry in Siracuse, Sicily, the artistic journey goes to exhibition spaces in Siracuse and Vienna.

The book presents a selection of works, paintings and drawings, which the artists changed slightly in reaction to the space. It was now called "From here and further". Included are installation views of Siracuse and Vienna, personal notes and letters. Rudi Fuchs in his essay focusses on the legend of Santa Lucia, martyr of Siracuse, on which both artists worked together.
